What is the Italian translation for Welcome, such as Welcome to my home? Does it matter if you say benvenuto or benevenuti? I ask because I have changed my background on an online community to an Italian setting and I would like to add, just the word "welcome" to my profile page.

benvenuto (if you are talking with a male) benvenuta (with a female) benvenute (2 or more females) benvenuti (2 or more males)..anyway, if you are talking with peaple in general you can say benvenuto/benvenuti...In your case, i would use "benvenuto" ..Bye!

You've already the correct answer in standard Italian by Pinguino But what about giving her a real surprise by adding also a writing in her native dialect (Sicilian) ? If you like my idea you can write : "BENTURNATA A CASA, AMURI MIU". That's in English "Welcome back home,my love". I guess she will appreciate (also the additional 'my love'...!!).
