North Indians are known to dominate every sector... they dominate culturally, politically too... When people from North come to South, Is it true that they dominate Telugu people more than Tamil and Malayalam people...? Telugu people are known to surrender before outsiders where as Tamil and Malayalam people resists domination...

You made a very nice observation... In fact it is 100% true... Telugu people are known to surrender and lick the outsiders where as Tamil and Malayalam people do have some self respect for their language and culture... Telugu people are totally dominated by north Indians, it is very much evident in Hyderabad... In Hyderabad the north Indians are slowly becoming dominant in business and other activities... Even many shop keepers in Hyderabad (non muslims) don't speak or know a bit of Telugu... The Telugu guy has to speak in Hindi in his/her own state.... My friends working on SBH and other sectors do complain me about the domination and discrimination done by UP, Bihar people.... God knows what will happen to AP and Telugu people...We are heading for a foreign rule...

Oh God...I am happy at least this question is raised by some intelligent person... Gone are those days of NTR, PV Narasimha Rao, Jiddu Krishnamurthy, S Radhkrishnan, etc... when Telugu intellectuals were present in the national space... But now none... Every where there is north domination , take the case of IIIT H, NALSAR, CIEFL, HCU etc... Hyderabad is more Delhi than a state capital.. The local people are slowly loosing their stake... At the same time Telugu people are too over generous to north Indians...Telugu people are not proud of their culture, cinema, language etc... Sooner or later Telugu people will become slaves of outsiders especially north Indians... AP even don't get its share in railways or roads etc where as Tamil nadu and Kerala are good in demanding things from Center... North Indians settle in Hyderabad and scold its culture and local people... The poor Telugu guy is busy in serving those north Indians.....

Your question has no standing at al. Telugu people dominate Hyderabad, not tamilians or north indians or malyalees. For gods sake who ever heard malyalees actually stand up against anything. These people earn their living by licking arab asses.

North Indians have little to no influence in Andra Pradesh/ Hyderabad /Telangan. Our politicians are pretty strong here, and locals completely dominate the business and realty sector here. A north India running small spree businesses have no power at all.

The reason Telugu people may seam weak is because we don't like arguing / confronting or shouting nonsense to validate our point. We talk logic and give high level of respect to qualification and education. Don't mistake our hospitality for weakness.

Even from an economic perspective, telugu people have started dominating all the IT and Tech sectors, with a lot of them immigrating to the US (not to work as cabbies or servants like North Indians and Malyalees), there is a high level of foreign remittences sent back to India, since most of these people work as engineers and earn atlas 70 -100,000 $ a year (which is quite high).

Other that the baniyahs, most of the north Indians in AP/Hyderabad or Telangana work as laborers at factories and godowns and i would laugh if you still claim that these laborers dominate us.

In South India, only Bangalore is totally dominated by North Indians.Even the locals forget their mother tongue and talk in Hindi.Almost every Business and most of the Public undertakings are run/headed by North Indians. In Hyderabad, the situation is not as dominant as in Bangalore.Bulk of the business people are from rest of A.P.In Chennai, there is no much of Public Undertakings and hence North Indians domination is less.So also in Kerala.Since, I stayed all these places and I have personal account of it.A special feature is that, none of these Hindi speaking people try to learn Kannada,Telugu or Tamil on their own in spite of their living there for number of years.

Cant agree more. No reason to blame North Indians though. They have every right to go about anywhere across India to do Business. Any when things comes your way you grab them. For Instance, Hyderabad has never been a stake for Hindus or Telugu speaking people.Urdu/Hindi has always been vernacular language there. With all the bits and pieces having to do with either Andhra has been accumulating only post independence.

Coming to the point, I would agree reasoning with their lacking integrity among. Yes, I venture this as one plausible reason for them to submit not only to North Indians but Muslims. Andhra is plagued by caste chauvinism. This divides people and cripples integrity.

Secondly, they are not as much passionate or spirited about their motherland as the rest of the south Indians are and dont care much about what others comments about their land or practices.

Thirdly, they are vulnerable to giving in to other hegemonic people. It is their weakness to submit themselves to others/outsiders mainly because they are not united enough and they certainly don't stand up for one another.

As you must have observed you can make out almost what they are talking about while they speak in Telugu cause it is more leaned over English than Telugu. It is no one but them to blame for what is happening in their land.

Nizam's rule and proximity of A.P. to Andhra, Maharashtra and Orissa, have made it vunerable for proliferation of Urdu/Hindi words being adopted in Telugu. To hear a Pandit from Tirupati explaining the significance of a festival day on television, use the word 'ee roju' for 'this day' I feel like sipping coffee mixed with sambar. A monstrous construction indeed. 'EE' and 'dinam' or dinamu' may go together. Instead 'aaj' can be used or 'yeh roz'.

Instead of excising such monstrosities from Telugu language, there is no use of bandying domino theory. Under the Constitutional right, every citizen can move freely to any part of the country. Job opportunities, business prospects, land availability, adequacy of labour are all socio-economic factors for migration of people and this will and should continue in a democratic polity.

According official language status to Hindi, has created in the so-called Hindi speaking people a sense of complacency to learn any other language amd the overwhelming majority yet do not even know the existence of vastly richer languages in India. Hindi has virtually wiped out the native languages of Braj Bhasha, Awadhi, Bundelkhandi, Malwi, Magahi,Bhojpuri,Angika etc. Marwari survives because of migrant marwari population who hold fast to their tongue for cultural reasons and Maithili is kept intact because of the zeal and a complex of superiority over Hindi and a pride of perceiving that laguage as 'sweet' compared to Hindi.

Those in business, do learn the local language in their own self interest. But the main reason for such feeling as the one voiced in the question is historic failure of Telugu people to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Tamil people in 1965, when total domination of Hindi was contemplated by the then central government headed by a Hindi zealot, Lal Bahadur Shastri, who but for this was a good and honest prime minister with impeccable integrity.

Hmm...When people from South go to north India , they are badly treated...and discriminated...I personally had a very bad experience in UP where people are usually very arrogant and politically motivated.... Even in Govt. jobs, there is total rule of North Indians, take the case of UGC, UPSC, CSIR, BHEL, etc....Even in State Bank of Hyderabad, you will not find many Telugu people there.. There are many north Indians in Hyderabad and Banglore, but they behave as if it is their property and they never care to respect others culture and language... The migrants from UP, Bihar are also increasing crime and theft... Many ATMs are captured by Bihari people... People from north even after spending so many years in South , never try to learn Tamil, Telugu or Kannada.... North Indians never accept their faults and many of them are known to lie things...Telugu people are good servants to North Indians... Telugu people don't have self-respect...

I too witnessed this when I was Hyderabad. What happened to telegu speaking people? Though I am a tamilian, I too support telegu. The language which I like the next to tamil is sundara telegu. It's not a mistake to speak hindi. Hindi is just the second language in A.P. If a customer comes why can't u people speak in telegu at first. If he/she don't know telegu then go with hindi.

May be reason is language. In tamil nadu, only very few learn to speak hindi. And you can see that hindi people should be knowing tamil to improve their business. Cos most northies are involved in business. You can see that in TN, many northies speak atleast a basic managable level of tamil . . . There is no need for tamil people to learn hindi, unless they have to visit or plan to go to north or to watch bollywood :) :) . . .

I beg to disagree with the following points.

"North Indians are known to dominate every sector..."

In Kerala,we take North Indians for mean works as North Indian workers are cheap. When I say cheap they are really cheap. For example, you need to give atleast 4000 INR for a heavy work in Kerala for about a day.At the same time,North Indians will do it for about 1000.Most of the North Indians in Kerala are doing mean works like cleaning, working on shops, building works(Mainly flats) etc.Think about this.Do you call these sectors?I call them low paid workers.

"culturally, politically"

Culturally? No way!South Indians in general don't ACCEPT North Indian culture. How many guys we have killed for having sex?How many killed in South India in the name of honour killings? How many forced to marry?Infact none compared to North India.Politics is not about North or South. It's about filling the pockets of politicians each state is important in that case.

I've a friend from Bangalore and he hates North Indians(Not everyone, those who talk Hindi and proclaim as whites even when they are black).I don't think North Indians dominate any of South Indians.Isn't it the other way?We command the workers and they usually do it.Tamil people have their own culture.Keralite people have mixed culture.Kerala is also a state with high western influence.A Keralite won't be able to handle North Indian culture as it's conservative and he never will cause Keralites respect their language, culture than anything else and like other Indians,it's hard to make Keralites obey as they are brought up in a liberal scenarios.

I think some people from Karnataka know Hindi. That's a bad thing because it's not their language. Why don't North Indians learn Kannada?I won't learn Hindi anyday.Taking about AP,people are forgetting themselves.Believe me,there was one AP guy who asked me why I don't know Hindi. That sucks.People in South Indian states should make videos in youtube teaching our people.I guess it's Keralites who are not afraid of anyone. It's the way we are brought up.Guess what.I'm not even afraid of Americans. Why Kerala developed this much?Yes,it's because we don't care anyone. If Kerala had North Indians,it would have been a slum by now.I'm not kidding.
