I have some perplexity.

What is the 'most ordinary' way to make a sentence negative?

How do you rate the following?

'Most normal', 'Possible, in special context', or 'Strange / Not Used' ?

1) raamdaas maile kapaRe nahiiN jalaataa hai.

2) raamdaas maile kapaRe jalaataa nahiiN hai.

3) raamdaas maile kapaRe jalaataa nahiiN.

4) raamdaas ne maile kapaRe nahiiN jalaaye haiN.

5) raamdaas ne maile kapaRe jalaaye nahiiN haiN.

well actually, all of them are correct in the practical context. all of them are equally used and mean the same thing. it is the mood that changes.



the 1st, 2nd, 3rd mean that Raamdas does not (habitually), burns dirty clothes, while the 4th and 5th mean that Ramdas has not burnt the clothes.
