Question:
Where can I get some documents translated from English to Chinese?

Has anyone here had any experience with a Chinese translation agency and had them independently proofread afterwards? Quality and accuracy is more important than budget (my boss is paying!). I’ve done a search but most companies have mixed reviews, and I don’t really trust those reviews anyway!

My company uses an agency called 'Chinese translation services' who have always been pretty good. We have native chinese speakers in house who sometimes double check translations before publishing and they say they're accurate. They're a Chinese translation agency so specialise in Chinese. Also you could use Global Village Translation who pretty much cover any language. If you wanted to certify it for legal reasons they can sort that out too.

The best thing to do is to call or visit the Embassy of China or the Chinese Consulate, and the Cultural Division will recommend a few good translators.

You can also Google Chinese interpreters, and you would get quite a few that way.

Hope this helps

From personal experience on Chinese homework, Google Translate is the worst possible option. China's Baidu (百度) is America's version of Google, but they have perfect translations to and from English. I suggest their translator. It has helped me in several sticky situations.
