I am a student learning English.

1. "How do you do?" As I know, this is used only when you see a new person at the first time.
Am I correct?

2. There are some greetings ( on the assumption that two people know each other.)
Please let me know other greetings and where you're from.

What's up?
How are you?
How is it going?
How have you been?
What have you been up to?

(1) How do you do? has not needed a serious answer for the last 200 years: your answer is a echo, How do you do. It is nowadays quite formal.and you risk being thought stand-offish if you use it in any but the most formal of situations.

(2) The traditional working class London greeting is What cheer?, pronounced "Wotcha."

(3) Austalians are supposed to say "G'day", which other Anglophones only use at departure.

(4) How are you? often expects a serious answer, but it is probably the best safe bet, even with people you are meeting for the first time..

(5) A simple "Hi" is probably the commonest greeting today, although the older generation may still prefer "Good monring / afternoon / evening." "Good night" is reserved for departure, except in the Anglophone Caribbean where it is a normal greeting after sunset.

(6) Your omissions include "How're you doing?" and the ungrammatical "How's tricks?"

Peace mate,

Which greetings are appropriate depends on where you are and who you are talking with. Here in Australia, it is almost never appropriate to ask "How do you do?" This question is actually asking how wealthy a person is, although these days many people don't realise this. In Australia people like to think that everyone is equal even though this is obviously not the case. As such, it is only when speaking with upper class or upper middle class people that the phrase "How do you do?" might occasionally be heard on rare occasions.

"G'day mate" is the standard Australian greeting. "How are you going?" (often shortened to "How ya goin'?") is common between friends or in friendly circumstances.

"Pleased to meet you" or "Nice to meet you" would be used after you have been introduced to someone you have not met before.

If you want to receive a positive answer, you could ask, "Have you been well?" Most people find it easier simply to say, "Yes thanks" than to let you know if they have been ill.

Trying not to extremely destroy your education. Most people don't usually use those. The bottom ones are more likely. I generally just say Hey or Hi, and if I don't know them I say Hi, I'm Emma. To introduce myself. You're probably right with the first one though.

I'm from Scotland by the way.

1.) Yes. "How do you do?" is a proper question to ask someone, whether you're just meeting them for the first time or if you already know them. It's always polite to ask someone how they are.
