"Neither we do" does not make sense for 2 reasons in this case:

1- Because "neither" is only used when two things are involved. For example, if someone said "Do you have any coffee or tea?," then you could correctly say "We have neither."

2-The "neither" would not come first in the phrase because in English the object comes AFTER the verb. "We have neither," NEVER "Neither we have."

In the case above, what you might be thinking of is saying "We have none." "We have none" might be a more formally correct response than "No we don't." "Not we don't" is not a complete sentence, which is probably why it sounds wrong to you.

If you are trying to say that Both You and the Other person do not have coffee, and they said to you "We have no coffee," you would say "Neither do we," or "We don't have any EITHER." Either would be used to avoid a double negative which is never gramatically acceptable in English.

Hope this helps :)

If it is said as a question, "We don't have any more coffee [do we]?", then the correct answer is either "No, we don't", or, "Yes, we do".

If the question had been addressed first to someone else, then you could reply with the second version, except it would be, "Neither do we".

no. If someone says we don't have any more coffee, you reply with no we don't have any coffee. Neither means not you or I and no just makes sense.

If i call you and tell you to invite me to coffee you could answeer:

"we don't have any more coffee" .You could also tell me that you can come to my house and in this case my reply could be "NEITHER DO WE" [as in we have no coffee either]

=) so depends on the situation "neither do we" could be used as well

Hope it helps

I think it should read as follows.

We do not have any more coffee.

(No we don't) is a little abrupt)

neither we do, does not make sense. It should "Neither do we have any coffee or We do not have any coffee either.

No way!

"We don't have any more coffee" isn't even a question! Although I presume the question in question was "Do you have coffee?"

Most people would say either "Without proof, I won't believe it" or "I won't believe it without proof". Punctuation makes a difference.
