On the "Babbel" advertisement asking "Which language do you want to learn??" why does the Portuguese option have Brazil's flag?

Idiocy, stupidity and ignorance: the real portuguese is in Portugal, in Brazil they speak a very simplified dialect with several hundred times less words than normal portuguese.

Far more people speak Portuguese in Brazil than speak Portuguese in Portugal and East Africa.

I guess they probably teach the Brazilian variety? Makes sense, 200 million people in Brazil, 10 million in Portugal. The Brazilian flag would also be much more widely recognised.

I am brazilian, and it is a little different. If they want to teach you some vocabulary, for exemple, there are some things that are completely different. Even inside Brazil, sometimes, there are more than one name for the exactly same thing! For exemple, "mandioca", "aipim" and "macaxeira" are the same thing and there are 10 more names for this. So, they are going to teach you brazilian portuguese, not to make it so complicated.
