What's the best Latin course out there?

It doesn't necessarily have to be a free course, but i want to find one that would give me the grounding i needed in order to continue to learn up to GCSE or A level.

Unfortunately, there aren't any latin classes or tutors in my area, and i'm a little dubious about getting one online. I thought maybe if i researched it a bit alone, just to find out if i'd enjoy it and if i was any good at it, then it might give me a bit more motivation to go properly searching for a good way to learn.

I'm taking Classical Civilisation at AS level next year, and i'm considering the possibility of continuing at University. I figure it'd give me a good grounding to have some knowledge of a classical language.

Any suggestions?

Have you considered trying the Open University? I have studied with the OU on and off for some years now, the bonus of an OU course is that it is recognised by employers/other academic institutions, your points never go away so you could always count them to some other qualification later on, and there are financial support programmes and also budgeting programmes available if you are on a low income or want to spread the cost of your course.

I had a quick nosy about the OU website and thought this course may interest you:

It also has the added bonus of other courses which can lead of from it including one continuing in latin, I thought it may be appropriate as it teaches Latin for complete beginners but also has strong links to studies in Classical Civilisation.
