I would like to study Indian and Pakistani dialects in the near future, (Punjabi and Urdu to be specific) and need to find some good resources (Romanized vocabulary and well as information about the writing system--I'm a rank beginner--, pronunciation, etc.). For now, I would just like some basic information, such as useful phrases or an large-ish dictionary (I can't seem to even find an online dictionary that will give me a reliable response). For example, how would one express something like, "Really?" or "Oh, is that so?" in Punjabi? Thank you for your time!
