It's Dolores's nickname (lola, lolita) however in South America we say that is a girl pretty or a young woman very seductive.
Good Luck!

Well I don't know your real name so I'm not sure if they mean lolita as in the name lola or little lola. Also, the moview lolita is based on a book about a middle age man who has a relationship with a 12 year old, in the moview they make her 16 instead of 12. Actually, this man married her mother in order to be close to her. When she discoveres boys of her age, she leaves him.
I guess you can make your own conclusions, I don't even know you to say...

First, I am white and I speak Spanish. Knowing a language or being from an ethnicity (Hispanic) doesn´t mean that a person should be of one color. Second, If you are pharmacy technician, you are there to help people as much as you can. So, if you can speak Spanish, even if it is broken Spanish, it would offer a lot of help to the patient. Third, if your coworker doesn´t like people who can´t speak English, then I hope she never has to go to a foreign country where she would not be able to communicate in English.

Lolita is a book by Nabokav about a very young girl and an older man. An attractive young girl considered jail bait is often called Lolita.

The term lolita has come to be used to refer to an adolescent girl considered to be very seductive, especially one younger than the age of consent. This meaning of the word is somewhat ironic in that the Lolita of the novel is described by both her mother and by Humbert as lacking conventional beauty. In Strong Opinions, Nabokov opines that he is "probably responsible" for parents not naming their children "Lolita" anymore. Indeed, the town of Lolita, Texas nearly changed its name after the novel gained notoriety.

Lolita is a Spanish name that has entered into pop culture meaning a sexually precocious teen due to the movie.
That may not be what they mean by it, but that's what I've heard it used as.
I'd be offended if they meant it that way...maybe its just your name translated into Spanish...

In southamerican speak calling you "lolita" means that you are the younguest female of the group. As such it can be a reference to your age or it can mean that your opinion is less valuable beacause of your inexperience, it can be dismissive, it can simply be that it's just an impersonal reference to avoid saying your name (it is considered very rude to speak about someone present without addressing them, the solution is to make the reference without speaking the name).

It depends from what country they are. Lolita is a girl's name.
Are you sure it wasn't "loquita" instead of "lolita"?
-"loquita" means "fairy" or sissy.
Did you say "spanish" because the ladies where from Spain?

Honey, you are in the wrong category I fear. I think the old movie is what they are talking about, unless your name is Lola, in which case it is a pet name.
