I need a Latin Translation, please!?

Question

I have a group of friends and this is our saying.
I need a Latin translation of this-

" It's not what we are, but who we are when we're together."

Can anyone help me, please?

Um, it's probably not going to be right, but, here's my attempt at a bad translation.



Non est quid sumus, sed quis sumus ubi una sumus.



I don't know if it's right.



Edit: Wow, this makes no sense. I really messed this up. You can't use the forms of the verb "to be" that many times in one phrase, can you?



I'm only a Latin I student, I wish I understood this more.

I'd say it's "non est quid sed quis sumus *** simul sumus".
