I already speak French and English fluently ( I'm Half wnglish half french ( although I've lived in England and go to school in England since I was six i was taught French as a baby same as English so I speak both )
And at school I learn latin ( I had a crap teacher and all the other people who learnt latin with another teacher are really, but I'm okay - although I still need to understand grammar more as I found the way she It tought it hard and confusing - I'm going to a new school and doing latin. French and the new latin teachers really good) but now I want to learn italian ( although I will start learning it in about a year )

Will any of this make learning italian easier for me and is italian a hard language to learn anyway ???

Btw : my writing skills in French are fine but not great ( since I didn't learn how to write that well and same with latin. I m more worried about the grammer and written side of learning italian not the aural.)

If you truly speak French then Italian will be a piece of cake. Both French and Italian are Romance languages, the Italian grammar is very similar to French. Italian is way easier to pronounce and write than English and French as Italian is pronounced as it's written.

I recommend you to learn more on your own than relying on teachers or a school, you have plenty of material on the Internet:

http://italian.about.com/od/grammar/Grammar.htm

http://www.verbix.com/languages/italian.shtml (excellent verb conjugator)

VoilĂ  ! Tu as beaucoup de ressources sur l'internet. Si tu as besoin d'autres ressources, cherche sur Google :)

Depends on which half of you is French.French and Italian have more in common than English and Italian.I am sure Italian is not very easy to learn but it would be easier than many non-European languages.

Given your background I think it would be no problem for you. It is a romance language and you would be aware that verbs would have to be conjugated in several tenses. It is probably very close to the latin you learned. For you, I think this would be an easy language for you to pick up.
