How would you appologise for this in french...?

I went on a french exchange and did not like it at all (the exchange partner i stayed with was really nice and i had nothing against her) and she was meant to be coming over here in july. i want to appologise for coming home early and to tell her that she was really nice and kind to me and thankyou. how would i say this?

Je te présente mes excuses pour être rentré(e if female) plus tôt que prévu chez moi. Merci d'avoir été aussi gentille et aimable envers moi.

Je suis desolé(e) que j'ai revenu(e) chez moi en avance, ce n'est pas à cause de toi, je n'ai pas aimé simplement l'expérience en generale. je voulais vous remercier pour l'opportunité de rester avec toi et ta famille.

If you want "I want to thank you for the opportunity", use this instead:

"Je veux vous remercier pour l'opportunité"
