hey there im arabic ... an trust me its not that easy to learn .. well it depends if he just wants to speak it .. or he wants to write using arabic ;p .. if he just wants to learn how to talk arabic then its a piece of cake .. but about writing that might be hard .. no offense but i have difficulty writing in arabic :p
