Can somebody translate "Salut, Trainer! Tu aimes les pokemon?" to english from the guy in Vielstone city?

In pokemon Platinum, there is this weird guy in Vielstone City standing next to a tree and a rock climbing place. He says "Salut, Trainer! Tu aimes les Pokemon?"
If I say yes he says "Moi aussi! C'est genial!"
If I say no he says "J'ai du mal a te croire... Il n'y a qu'a vous regarder!"
Can somebody translate this to english? I think it's French...
