Spanish homework; does this simple translation from English to Spanish make sense?

I'm trying to say:

Welcome to chanel 29 news. My name is Jane Smith, and I am reporting for chanel 29, talking about the earthquake in Guatemala.

My translation:

Bienvenido a Chanel 29 noticias. Mi nombre es Jane Smith, y yo soy la reportera para el 29 de Chanel, hablando sobre el terremoto en Guatemala.


Does this sound decent?

You are correct, only a couple of words, and when you say "Welcome" don't say "Bienvenida" like AlwayzN4 said, ecause bienvenida is like using it specifically for a female, so instead you would say:



Bienvenidos a las noticias del canal 29. Mi nombre es Jane Smith, y soy la reportera para el canal 29, reportantdo sobre el terremoto en Guatemala.

Chanel is Canal in Spanish.

More grammaticaly correct way to say it would be.

Bienvenida al canal 29 de noticias. Me llamo Jane Smith, y yo soy la reportera para el canal 29, hablando sobre el terremoto en Guatemala. You did pretty good just a few mistakes.

My spanish is a bit rough... but I would put something along the lines of this:



Bienvenido a las noticias del canal 29. Me llamo Jane Smith, y estoy reportando para canal 29. Estoy hablando cerca del temblor (de tierra)[(or "terremoto" or "gran temblor" if it was a large quake)] en Guatemala.



hope that helps, but what you have makes sense too. If you wanted to say this part "soy la reportera para 29 de canal" or "I am the reporter for channel 29" it would sound a little more fluid as "Soy la locutora/presentadora del canal 29"
