I have seen it so often, and I feel ashamed...
So often when somebody who is obviously not very good with English asks a question...instead trying to answer. ...many people will be rude and say things along the vain of go learn proper English before you use this forum...

Don't they not realise this is a world site, and everybody has a right to ask questions!.
Not everybody is good at English...They need a chance to learn and practice.

And those who make the silly comments often write very badly thenselves, and English is their native language!

oh my dear, this is one of my pet peeves on this site. i also find it annoying when people bash other people's grammar and spelling, assuming the asker is an english speaker. they fail to realize that a lot of people here are still learning the language. i guess they feel superior when they pick on these poor people. oh well!

I'm sorry to disappoint you but actually this is not a "world site".

Yahoo Answers is an English language site. If it was a world site then there would not be a "Report Abuse" option for non-English language questions!

People who are unable to express themselves adequately in English (and, let's be honest, there's a lot of barely comprehensible questions out there) should try and find a chatroom or answer site in their native language.

I agree that they "need a chance to learn and practice", but why do you believe that Yahoo Answers is the place to do it?

By the way, you tried very hard but couldn't disguise the fact that you're not a native English speaker (your prepositions are shaky). As in the case of your question, mostly nobody comments when non-English speakers post questions - it's normally only when the level of English is really bad that people object.

Except the morons, of course, and there will always be some of those on every site.

I agree with some people saying that some others think english is a "superior language". But they just need to learn manners and understand that there's a world outside the United States and that people in that world have different cultures and languages of course. Luckily, some people who have another native languages show what means respect and class answering questions about their languages in a nice way, and not making fun or being rude about other people's ignorance.

People assume that because you are on a site where English is the language of choice, you should be able to speak English. How can you answer a question, when you can't understand what the person is asking? I'm sure there are plenty of other sites written in other languages, but on this site, English is the language of choice.

Deal with it!

Hi, I just popped over to check out this category and was just so amazed to see your question. I was getting so upset at all the hatred, bigotry, etc being expressed in the religion and spiritual category, thought I'd take a break and get away from it and alas I see your question but I have to agree with you. All people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of the religion, belief system, or the language..Good to see someone else standing up for truth...

I thought I posted the same questiona few days back. I agree with some of the answerers. They are immature, just have nothing good to do with their lives, pathetic, ignorant (pardon me for saying these). Understanding matters more than language. If they are bright enough, grammar won't matter. See, I'm not rude, i'm just taking my answerers' words against rude people here. You gotta learn etiquette, people.

Because a lot of people think English is "the best" language. But everyone has their own opinions.

I agree with you on this, instead of being so rude, they could help them and correct the person where they have gone worng. Some people are just so stupid that they need to make other people feel dumb, so they can feel good about themselves.

There are many young teens on this site; they are immature and lack experience in struggling with another language. I'm sorry this has happened to you.

I think that the people on this site really need to understand that the internet is a world wide tool not just something for English speaking people. Honestly I think we should be proud of them for even trying to speak another language
