Omnes te moritorum amant?

Question

Can anyone translate the above latin phrase? It's from the closing seconds of the new house episode, "lockdown". It is possible that the second "o" in moritorum is incorrect, it's covered by ivy in the episode. From a bit of online translating, I'm guessing something to do with everyone loving you when you die? Or something along those lines.

"Everyone has the desire to die loved" or, more colloquially, "Everyone wants to die loved."



This translation has the support of two Latin students, and makes a lot more sense in the context of the scene between Hugh Laurie and David Strathairn in the "Lockdown" episode.

You suspected correctly. The 2nd "o" is a "u" making it a future active participle.



Omnes te moriturum amant.



Literally: All love you about to die.
