What's the simplified Chinese equivalent of Helvetica Font?

I'm looking for a clean utilitarian font for simplified Chinese that embodies the same impact that Helvetica has with western typeface. i.e. it is used everywhere, it is clean, and it's beauty lies within it's simplicity.

i use a macbook and this came with it but it does remind me of a chinese version of helvetica (helvetica is my favorite font btw. lol) and i write traditional chinese which makes words even look more complicated, but this font clears it up a bit...

Arial Unicode. Arial was designed for Microsoft to be a Helvetica looklike. The Unicode version supports Chinese (and many other languages.
