I know foreign names are not written in Kanji (Katakana I believe). But, can somebody give me the Kanjis and meanings for these two names: 1) Alan, and 2) Andre

Thanks in advance,
r2ro

What about these?

Alan= 阿覧 (ア・ラン) 阿=high hill,beatiful,

depend / 覧=look

comment: there is a SUMO wrestler (Russian)

as the same name as this IN Japan

    亜蘭 (ア・ラン) 亜=next / 蘭= a kind

of flower

any of above + 嵐 (ラン )嵐=mountain

storm, violent storm

Andre = 案努礼 (アン・ド・レ)

        案=thought / 努=endeavor /

礼=courtesy

You 'd better look up in kanji dictionary because there so many kanji.
