she tastes the candy = ella prueba el dulce (or el caramelo)

to taste = probar

to taste like = saber

e.g. this tastes like sugar = esto SABE a azĂșcar

toma = he/she/it takes, drinks

lleve = (that) he/she/it carries, takes

the literal translation of -tastes- is -saborea-, prueba is commonly used to say taste but it is not correct it means for instance-she tries the candy- also toma is used but in the sense of taking with you the candy. So correctly translated -she tastes the candy- you should say -ella saborea los dulces- saborea comes from the word sabor which means flavor which in Spanish is also to taste, a more formal translation would be -ella degusta los dulces- degusta comes from the word gusto which is the name of the sense of taste in spanish.

Ella prueba el dulce (caramelo, confite).

To taste = Probar. So "prueba" is from the verb probar.

Toma means she takes or she drinks. Lleva means she carries or she takes.

Edit: In my opinion, saborear means to enjoy, not to taste.

She tastes the candy = Ella prueba el dulce.

She = Ella

tastes = prueba

the = el

candy = dulce

If you say Ella toma el dulce, that means She takes the candy.

If you say Ella lleva el dulce or Ella trae el dulce, it means She brings the candy.

For that sentence I would say "saborea los dulces" (more like savor) or "prueba los dulces" (if she is "trying" them for maybe the first time)

taste-saborear - ella saborea los dulces

prueba-used as taste but means try like she tries the chips, not taste

Probar- to try/taste. Just conjugate it however you need it.

The way to say this would be "Ella sabe como caramelo". But if you are trying to say "I would like to taste that" it would be "quisiera probar eso".
