Depends. In the US, I think people should really learn Spanish. I mean come on, THIS IS AMERICA. Lot's of people come who know spanish and not english, and spanish can really help with work. IDK about other places though, it depends where you are. =]

a million) French two) Spanish three&four) Learning a language is continually valuable external of the study room this isn't a sensible query. I could without doubt hold studying languages despite the fact that persons did not make me in college. Spanish for my part is way more valuable than French total. I could even cross as far as to mention that in view that of Brazil being one of the vital greatest up-and-comers at the international level, Portuguese will quickly overtake French in usefulness.

The four African countries you cite as Spanish speaking are all tiny. Spanish is not a significant language in Africa.

If you want to visit Africa, learn French; French and English together will take you almost anywhere in the continent.

If you want to visit south or central America, Spanish will take you almost everywhere except Brazil.

Both are world languages: Spanish has more speakers, but French is spoken in more countries.

Which is more important will depend on what you want it for.

Personally I think French

What your results don't show is that many people learn French to a Basic level.

In Spain we learn it from ages 11-16

Many other European Countries, and countries around the World use French as a 2nd language
