I'm not a native speaker of English but I have to translate a text into English (from Polish). I'd be very thankful if someone looked at this paragraph and say if this is well or awkwardly written

This rural tourism homestead is situated in one of the most scenic towns of Lubin district – Lodz. The town is located in Poznan district, on the left bank of the Noval River, at the Green Hill Stream. Here lies a St. John's Church built in baroque style (built in 1940), the Freedom Monument (built in 1940, by sculptor T. Nowak), and museums (archeology museum founded in 1926 and geology museum founded in 1950). Not far away there is an ancient hill fort, and there are a lot of ancient tombs in the surrounding vicinities.

I agree with Mama - written well and with some complex words and sentence structure.

Some very minor suggestions I have:

In American English at least there is traditionally a "the" in front of the name for a district. As in "the Poznan district." I'm not sure if that is universal.

I agree with Auree that there should not be an "a" in front of St. John's Chruch. Just "Here lies St. John's Church" or "It is home to St. John's Church." The "built" is a little akward. Possibilities could be, "Here lies St. John's Church, a church built in the baroque style," or "Here lies St. John's Church, which was built in the baroque style."

You do not need a comma in "(built in 1940 by sculptor T. Nowak)."

Great job!

Nice job! It makes me want to visit Lodz. It sounds like a nice little town, with a baroque church, museums, and monument. My husband would enjoy the fort and the ancient tombs.
