French. We have conceded that English spelling has room for improvement and have accepted a 5 year phase in plan that will be known as Euro English (Eurglish).
In the 1st year 's' will replace the soft 'c'. The hard 'c' will be dropped in favour of the 'k'. This should klear up konfusion and keyboards kan have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the 2nd year, when the troublesome 'ph' will be replaced with the 'f'. This will make words like 'fotograf' 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters, which have always been a deterent to akurasy, also, al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent e's is defunkt.
By the 4th year we can replas 'th' with 'z' and 'w' with 'v'. In ze 5z year ze unesesary 'ou' kan be dropt.
After ziz ve vil hav a reli sensibl riten styl. Zer wil be no mor trubls or ..

brilliant joke.

but did you know they actually tried something like this in the netherlands in the 1980ies?

it was called the voorkeursspelling. and it was nto a big success, when they found out that different dialects prenounce certain letters differently. they abruptly changed it back a few years later, but were still cleaning up the mess.

still come across the word vertikaal instead of verticaal etc.

i don't recognize why is so humorous that German people who learn English say "th" like "z" and "s". and "w" like "v" possibly in case you will possibly attempt to benefit German, you does not think of it is so humorous once you have complication to benefit pronunciation.
