No drastic difference at all. That's because the Mexican language is Spanish. However, Mexican-Spanish have a slight difference in terms of phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, lexicon and accents as well as diminutives.

A mexican is a person who originates from Mexico. Spanish is a language spoken in latinamerica and Spain. There is no such thing as a language called "Mexican". However, the Spanish spoken by Mexicans tends to be much more informal than the "correct" Spanish found in places like Spain, Argentina, Uruguay and so forth.

The way mexican speak is a dialect of spanish. Spanish is spoken in all latin counties and spain which is not a latin country like is the popular belief. But different latin countries speak spanish with a different accent and words can have different meanings. Although the spanish from Spain is the true spanish language.

Both in Mexico and Spain the spoken language is Spanish (though in Spain it's sometimes called Castillian, but this has more a political than a linguistic mean) so in fact there is not any big difference, it is like the difference between american English and British English, so just the entonation and the meaning of a few words, but this happends between different areas of Spain too.

Spanish is the language spoken in Mexico officially. There are other languages in Mexico like nahuatl, mayan, zapotec, mixtec that are still in use by millions of persons.

The Spanish spoken in Mexico is the clearest and most understandable, and was chosen by Hollywood when they decided to translate some movies into Spanish.
