After her boyfriend David had left for work, Anne started reading a novel which reminded her strongly of her own life. In the novel, a woman realizes that her husband is a cold-blooded killer. The only difference to her own position was that she was not his wife and that the setting was Los Angeles instead of New York City.

I'm especially interested in the third sentence here: is that sentence correct? "The only difference to her own position was etc...." If it is NOT, how can I put it better? Thanks a lot!!

"The only difference to her own position was etc...." Meh, I think technically it's grammatically correct, but it doesn't sound natural. I would say this: "The only difference between her position and that of the woman in the novel was..."

Overall, you seem to have written it well. And though I'd usually make a few small changes (by adding a couple optional commas), it reads well.

Now, while the third sentence is written properly, it's a tad vague. Specifying which woman (Anne, or the novel character) was the subject here, you can eliminate the possibility of people getting confused.

i'm Mexican, so i'm interior sight Spanish speaker... and that i could say that paragraph quite diverse: A mi fiesta, voy a invitar a mi familia y amigos.
