1st of all...move ur cursor to the 'x' at the top right corner of ur screen, now click. if u followed my directions u wont b reading this and u should get the pic. haha! jk!

but seriously, get off the computer and start reading. it doesnt take me very long to read 170 pages. im a very fast reader though...r u? just read as much as you can...no breaks, no distractions. thats all u can do really. wake up earlier in the morning then what you usually do and read some more if u dont finish. but dont read it so fast that you remember none of it. wats the point in reading all of it and not knowing any of it at the end? its better to just read half of it and actually know what you just read!

hope this helps!

1. collect keywords, usually they are bold fonts

2. read the first paragraph in details, and then read the first few sentence of each paragrah.

3. Since it is English, you should have a vocabulary book that you already have had written down any new words or main ideas.

note. if you can tell me what are the main subjects in those 170 pages, I might be able to help you more.

Calm down, hon. ^^;

First off, next time, read earlier. :3 Be responsible.

To help you out right now, you gotta use a website such as http://www.sparknotes.com; Whatever the book it is that you need to study, it will tell you everything you need, all summarized. From chapter summaries to character lists. But please, friend, don't take advantage of this website and start cheating all the time.

=) Good luck. Get a good nights sleep!

Other people already said it, but sparknotes.com is the only way I made it through my entire 4 years of high school English classes! And I got A's!

Read the first few pages and then the last few. If it's not a story, you should be introduced to all the concepts and ideas in the conclusion and introduction.

honestly, sparknotes.com for sure. i am always swamped with AP classes, and no time to read. i read like 2 out of the 5 books we had to do during the summer and used sparknotes for the rest, and i got 334/350 on my final!! works wonders.

You should have started earlier... but 170 pages in an hour wouldn't necesarily be difficult. :/ Depends on the book.

Get the hell off the computer! Go take a test where it's like, "You read 1 words per minute." Try that and see if you can do it. I read 389 words per minute. (woo) Just go and read!

You can very quickly skim through each page only looking for important dialog and sentences.Or you can go to bookrags.com and look up your book and they give you the main event for each chapter.

A common method is to sleep on your textbook. You will absorb the info into your brain.

Ask another question and ask for a summary of the book.

Or go to WIKIPEDIA.ORG
