However, the kanji could mean something different in Chinese.



A friend told me a story the other day. She saw a guy with a tattoo that said fujin. I think he wanted Fuujin (風神), which is one of a pair of gods frequently seen in temples: fuujin and raijin. Fuujin means wind-god, and raijin means thunder-god. Well, what he got was fujin (婦人) Which means female.
