I'm learning this art song and it would help if I knew what I was singing about. Thanks :)

Schwesterlein, Schwesterlein, wann gehn wir nach Haus?
»Morgen wenn die Hahnen krähn,
Wolln wir nach Hause gehn,
Brüderlein, Brüderlein, dann gehn wir nach Haus.«

Schwesterlein, Schwesterlein, wohl ist es Zeit.
»Mein Liebster tanzt mit mir,
Geh ich, tanzt er mit ihr,
Brüderlein, Brüderlein, laß du mich heut.«

Schwesterlein, Schwesterlein, was bist du blaß?
»Das macht der Morgenschein
Auf meinen Wängelein,
Brüderlein, Brüderlein, die vom Taue naß.«

Schwesterlein, Schwesterlein, du wankest so matt?
»Suche die Kammertür,
Suche mein Bettlein mir
Brüderlein, es wird fein unterm Rasen sein.«

Not that easy to translate, even in German it's a little hard... ;) The first sentence in every paragraph is a question asked by the brother and then the sister answers him.

Little sister, little sister, when will we go home?

"in the morning, when the cocks are crowing

we want to go home,

little brother, little brother, then we will go home"

Little sister, little sister, it is about time

"my loved one dances with me

If I go home, he'll dance with her,

leave me alone tonight"

Little sister, little sister, why are you looking so pale?

"It is the morning light

on my little cheeks,

little brother, little brother, the thaw made them wet."

Little sister, little sister, you're faltering so weakly

"Look for the bedroom's door,

look for my bed,

little brother, it is going to be fine beneath the grass."

Tried my best :)
